You’ve found the homepage for the Tri-Cities Geocachers. We’re a diverse group of participants in the sport of geocaching tucked away in our little corner of the universe – Southwest Virginia, Northeast Tennessee and Western North Carolina. Whether you live here or are just visiting, you are welcome to join us here in our “cyberhome”.
Our goal is simple – to provide a family-friendly environment that supports the geocachers of our area. You’ll find information to aid you in your quest for that next cache, helpful tips on everything from bee stings to paperless caching, and introductions to many of the local cachers. Notices concerning local events will often appear here, so please feel welcome to come out and enjoy the comraderie – it doesn’t matter whether you have 10 finds or 10,000, you’ll have a good time! The Tri-Cities Geocachers group is proud it say we have over 1700 caches within a 30 mile radius of the Tri-Cities area (from cache waypoint GCNPAE). We are even more proud of the fact that we are very handicap cacher oriented. Of the 1700+ caches, 370+ are rated as a 1 terrain. Of these 370 caches, more than 215 are rated 1 terrain and 1 difficulty. We are diverse and happy to host disabled cachers. In the Tri-Cities, there is something for everyone. Come cache with us!
